Coast Guard to seek further public comment on Hudson River anchorages

NEW YORK - The Coast Guard will extend the opportunity for public comment on the Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) titled "Anchorage Grounds, Hudson River; Yonkers, NY, to Kingston, NY, (81 FR 37168)."

The extension changes the initial comment deadline from Sept. 7, 2016 to Dec. 6, 2016.

Thus far, the ANPRM solicitation has been extremely successful and the Coast Guard has received nearly 2,400 comments on the subject from many diverse stakeholders. 

Wide-ranging feedback is essential to the decision-making process and the Coast Guard is extending the comment period by 90 days to futher encourage this important public discussion.
