SAN PEDRO, Calif. — The Coast Guard is searching for a 65-year-old male after his vessel was reported to have capsized while fishing outside the Ventura Harbor entrance at 8:30 p.m., Friday.
The male was reported to be aboard a 15-foot Boston Whaler recreational vessel along with one additional person. The other individual aboard was reported to have swam safely to shore.
The Coast Guard currently has a HH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Los Angeles and a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Channel Islands searching for the individual. Several local agencies are also assisting in the search.
